My boycott of the NBA is now official. David Stern just told Seattle that even with a $300M improvement to their arena, it is “unfit for an NBA franchise”. The league has officially jumped the shark, largely because the “product” isn’t good basketball anymore. It’s luxury boxes, fancy restaurants and other revenue generators that have created a chasm between the NBA and the average fan. So happy for March Madness. At least it is about the game.
